The proposal for the existing chauffeur’s cottage in Sevenoaks involves a full-scale renovation of the dwelling.

Situated within the Green Belt and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the design must be sensitive to the surrounding properties and local vernacular.

To the side of the dwelling, we propose a new garage with ancillary accommodation on the first floor. The front of the main house will be thoughtfully upgraded with new windows, cast iron gutters, and a new porch that reflects the architectural style of the other cottages on the estate.

At the rear, a two-storey extension will accommodate a new kitchen on the ground floor and a master suite on the first floor. The extension will be clad in Keymer handmade tiles, complementing the traditional Kent tile-hung façades.
