The Stables

An existing flint and redbrick stable block located in Kent has been converted into a high end wellness suite for a private client.

The suite consists of a gym space equipped with running machine, cross trainer, bike and techno-gym kinesis cable machine. The spa area provides a large Effe steam room, separate rain shower and WC.

The materiality of the design has been inspired by a Scandinavian spa. The use of light fumed oak floors, off-white timber cladding to the walls and the opening up of the vaulted ceiling create a bright, calm workout area.

A natural limestone floor and grey porcelain tiles to the spa area are softened by bespoke oak cabinetry and polished plaster walls.
